Sites I love to love. This one and a dozen domains I spend way too much money on. Nothing to say. Just feel obligated to stick my nose in every few years and say. Yep, still around.

What to do and what not to do. These are the questions, Horatio. So next month, I'll be reading at the Golden Crown national lesbian writers conference. Or is it international? As an international lesbian, I'm looking forward to it. I've also been asked to read/perform with musicians at a concert but my last experience was so negative (and I'm not sure I've got the time to scope out its wheelchair accessibility and bully the staff into getting what I need... and the expense of energy could cost me. Also the less metaphoric expense of transportation, materials, food, promotion, ticket sales, etc.)
And I need book covers. I'm trying to participate in the literary digital revolution that is Amazon, Smashwords, Kindle Singles, etc.
So... get artsy with it? Or surf the community looking for a nice deviant to hire?

Just thinking about it

Should be working... proofs for new poetry book, media packet for another project due in two day (which means soundcloud recording, select from -very old- headshots, etc)... and if that isn't enough, I have some stalled projects, kickstarter proposals, book tour to arrange, etc.
BUT! Yes, that is a big but. (I like big buts.) But I saw a call for a comic book anthology and nothing inspires me like a completely unrelated call for submissions that means new crazy deadlines and soliciting an artist to commit to/ink the story. Sigh.
I hear that other people do the work (story, novel, whatever) and then find a home for it. What's up with that?

Particularly in the wave of countering upcoming remaking RED DAWN movie and some lovely current propaganda opportunities that the outrageous crazy-conservatives "commie under every bed" folk, I'm feeling all contest-y. Can't wait.
What do you think I should offer? (Sigh. Yes. A living wage would nice; or maybe a world without greed and violence. But a membership or cash prize more likely.)
